He correctly predicted that the media would start attacking him. And that’s exactly what happened.
Within days, major news outlets changed their tone. Before this, Musk was called a “genius” and “visionary.” After the tweet, headlines described him as “dangerous,” “reckless,” and even “a threat to democracy.”
Musk predicted this would happen—and it did.
In fact, the popular media even started maligning his family and wrote articles to prove their theory that Musk is a villain and his family is racist.

Before his tweet:

❌ Accused of spreading misinformation on Twitter.
❌ Linked to the far-right even though his views stayed mostly the same.
His purchase of Twitter (now X) made things worse. Seeing the growing censorship and government influence, he stopped the unfair practices and allowed free speech.
This upset many journalists and politicians.
Suddenly, he was blamed for everything from hate speech to election interference.
Media Picks Heroes and Villains
This is not just about Musk. The media does this to many people.
Other public figures, like Joe Rogan and Tulsi Gabbard, were once loved by Democrats. But when they started questioning certain political ideas, the media turned against them too.
Why?
Because many news outlets don’t just report facts. They tell stories where there must be good guys and bad guys. As long as Musk fit their “good guy” image, they liked him.
Once he stepped outside that role, they attacked.

But the goal wasn’t truth—it was to destroy his reputation. And many popular magazines started to push the same false angle.
How This Affects Us?
Many people still watch mainstream media even though trust is declining. And because Musk is criticized, they believe the new version of Musk without questioning it.
Others see through the lies and recognize a pattern. And lose trust in the news altogether.
This is dangerous. People expect to be able to trust at least the top media outlets, but instead the media is peddling lies.
The result? More division and less open discussion.
