Is America the New 1930s Germany?

When we first saw and heard the Hitler-like speech by President Biden and VP Harris last year where they said “MAGA is the enemy, not Republicans”, everyone thought it was just a jibe at Donald Trump.

But since then it’s clear this was the familiar tactic of dehumanizing.

And the same thing that messed up Germany in the 1930s, is now happening in the US.

It’s a familiar tactic of socialists and communists (like Hitler, Stalin, and Mussolini), who later become fascists and dictators.

What is Make America Great Again (MAGA)?

Make America Great Again is a campaign slogan coined by Donald Trump to denote the core message of his campaign — “American needs to get back to a place of liberty, prosperity & strength”.

Some of MAGA’s tenets are:

  1. Low taxes — citizens keep more money and invest as they want.
  2. Less red tape — govt will do the minimum needed, and no more
  3. Stronger military (best offence is a strong defense)
  4. Equality under the law — no discrimination, address root causes and not the symptoms. e.g. fund inner cities and provide more opportunities
  5. Family values — a cohesive family with faith is needed for a functioning society

Why the opposition to Make America Great Again?

Make America Great Again (MAGA) is a a good vision, but it’s also a political one.

So the Democrat party has to discredit the concept and also the people behind it.

Unfortunately, they are different on their policies.

The present day Democrat party has been infliltrated by leftism and wants:

  1. More taxes
  2. More regulation
  3. More power to global organizations than the United States
  4. Equity, not equality — leading to discrimination

So, this compromised Democrat party has to resort to tactics that dehumanize others.

The Divide & Rule Strategy

By repeatedly dehumanizing the people who support Donald Trump and the Make American Great Again concept, the compromised Democrat party leadership (not the average Democrat voter) wants to slowly spread hatred and division.

Here’s how they are trying to do it:

Step 1: Say, “MAGA is racist. We oppose MAGA, not Republicans”

Step 3: Get more average Democrat party voters to say, “MAGA is the problem”

Step 3: Get more average Republicans to say, “We are not MAGA, we are Republican”

Step 4: Dehumanize people who support the Make America Great Again tenets. Make their persecution appear to be “legal” so that other average people hesitate to denounce it (just as the average Germans persecuted the jews — it was legal, and by policy. The Jews were breaking the “law”)

Step 5: Win the elections and gain power

Step 6: Become fascist. Make unilateral decisions when the checks and balances are gone.

Is it happening now?

Yes.

We are already seeing Step 4 with:

  1. January 6 law suits
  2. Law suits against Trump.

They appear legal so average American doesn’t question them. But they are selective and malicious prosecution at best.

This is how the Germans turned against the Jews.

We are already seeing some amount of Step 6 happening with the new title IX changes against women. How can the department of Education change the definition of sex instead of going through Congress?

Is there Hope?

Some Democrats are waking up (e.g. Bill Maher, feminist leaders etc.), but they are still trapped by the dehumanization of MAGA. They say they hate MAGA although they can’t say why. They cannot see the lawfare.

So only time will tell if we will repeat the German story of the 1930s, or snap out of it.
